In 2018, my artwork finally conquered out-of-rich places such as #ManchesterArtGallery and #Whitworth Gallery. This was the year for a different Shahireh to emerge. I am now an exhibited writer, photographer and performer. Thanks to everyone at the #TravellingHeritageBureau.

Commemoration Day of Ferdowsi

Ferdowsi (935-1020) celebrated as the "Lord of Words" is the author of Shahnameh (the world's longest epic poem created by a single poet). This year would be the 8th year that the Commemoration Day of Ferdowsi is celebrated in Manchester. 

In the English section of the event (Start at 2.30) we celebrate Ferdowsi and his Shahnameh by: reading Firdausi in Exile by Sir Edmund Gosse (1849 –1928).

هشتمین بزرگداشت فردوسی در منچستر
ابتدا با بخش انگلیسی و موسیقی (خانم فیروزه فزونی) در خدمت علاقمندان خواهیم بود و سپس سخنرانی جناب دکتر کویر (عشق بر مرمر شاهنامه)، نقالی آقای کربلایی و اجرای آقای بحیرایی با همراهی جمعی از دوستان شاهنامه را خواهیم داشت. ورودیه 2 پوند

2018

2018 is well and truly here. Wishing you all happiness and good health.  

In my first post of the year I'd like to remember those who are no longer amongst us and welcome those who join us on this planet. 

The start of this year is particularly memorable for me as 2018 started with demonstration in many cities of  #Iran, where people protested against economic and political corruption. 

 سال 2018 تمام مناطق زمانی را در هم شکسته و حال را کاملا در سلطه گرفته. در آغاز سال جاری جای خیلی از عزیزان کنارمان خالی است. آنهایی که پر کشیدند، روحشان شاد. آنهایی که دل بریدند هر کجا هستند دلشان شاد، آنهایی که ماندند قدمشان پرتوان، آنهایی که آمدند حضورشان خجسته

 همزمان با شروع سال نو شاهد اعتراضات مردم در ایران نیز بودیم. به امید روزی که همه ی مردم در هر نقطه از دنیا به حقوق اولیه خود دست یابند. بهبود اوضاع اقتصادی مردم، پایان تعبیضهای جنسیتی، قومی، مذهبی و قشری را آرزومندم. به امید آرامش
