Ferdowsi (935-1020) celebrated as the "Lord of Words" is the Author of Shahnameh (the world's longest epic poem created by a single poet).
This year would be the 8th year that the Commemoration Day of Ferdowsi is celebrated in Manchester. As part of the celebration Friends of Shahnameh is hosting this workshop, supported by Commonword.

Places for the workshop are limited. To reserve a place please email Shahireh at sangrezeh@yahoo.co.uk. No prior knowledge of Shahnameh is required. This is a free event.
به مناسبت بزرگداشت فردوسی کارگاه خلاقیت و نوآوری با الهام از داستان های شاهنامه توسط دکتر شهیره شریف با همراهی گروه کامن_ورد برگزار می شود. از هنرمندان به ویژه کسانی که در امر نویسندگی یا نقاشی تجربه دارند دعوت می شود تا با شرکت در این کارگاه و خلق اثر گامی در جهت زنده نگه داشتن نام فردوسی در جامعه ی بین المللی بردارند. جلسه به زبان انگلیسی اجرا خواهد (ترجمه به فارسی در صورت نیاز) ولی اثر نهایی الزاما به انگلیسی نخواهد بود
