The Swiss cheese analogy for understanding discrimination and the consequences of moral exclusion.
'Word of Warning: Social Experiment', Contact Theatre on Thursday 17th July. Other artists performed were: Ben Hodge | James Moss | Leah Stone | Rachel Smith and Xhi Ndubisi.
Thanks to everyone at hÅb for organising ´Social Experiment´. It was a joy to share 'Downhill Blues' monologue with our wonderful audience at Contact Theatre. Thanks to everyone who attended. Thanks also to Atusa, Tamsin, James and Ali for pictures.
Downhill Blues is a monologue that uses the swiss cheese analogy to explore discrimination. ‘Ownership’, ‘labelling’, ‘dehumanisation’, and ‘obedience without critical thinking and maintaining ethical standards’ can lead to moral exclusion. And in turn, it could result in turning a blind eye to genocide.
