افکار خیامی شاهنامه

در کارگاه اخیر شاهنامه‌خوانی دوستان شاهنامه، در داستان کاموس کشانی، بیتی داشتیم که در دسته‌ی "افکار خیامی در شاهنامه" جای دارد.

یکی امروز با کام دل می خوریم

غم روز ناآمده نشمریم

عنوان "افکار خیامی در شاهنامه" را برای تاکید بر تنوع داستان‌های شاهنامه انتخاب کردم. "افکار خیامی در شاهنامه" اشاره به ابیاتی دارد که به مضامین و مفاهیمی که به عنوان افکار خیامی معروف هستند و به خیام نسبت‌شان می‌دهیم می‌پردازد. شاهنامه کتابی است انباشته از ادب، منطق، حکمت و احساساتی که گاه به شعرای بعد از فردوسی نسبت داده شده در صورتی که فردوسی پیشرو آنها بوده. این بدان معنا نیست که خیام یا دیگر شعرا مقلد فردوسی بوده‌اند، بلکه فردوسی را می‌شود الهام‌بخش خیلی از این بزرگان دانست.

In the most resent Shahnameh reading workshop by Friends of Shahnameh, as we were reading Kamous Koshani story, we came across a stanza that roughly is translated to

Let's drink wine to enjoy life with prosperity today

& not grieve for the day that isn't here yet

This is an example of the stanzas where their meaning is usually seen to associated with Umar Khayyam. As Ferdowsi predates Khayyam, like many other Persian poets Umar Khayyam was inspired by Shahnameh.

After a journey of 8000Km from Turkish-Syrian border to the UK, little Amal (A 3.5m tall puppet representing a nine-year-old Syrian refugee) walked to Manchester yesterday.  Amal has travelled through 65 European cities to shine a light on the situation of refuges.
